Place and 8” round double layer cake on a cake board and base ice with white icing.
Using a small spatula texturize the top of the cake. Texturize approximately half the cake to create a wavy ocean feel. Texturize the remaining portion to look like a beach.
Using Golden Brown Airbrush Color, airbrush the top and side of the cake that is the beach side.
Airbrush the top and sides of the “water” side of the cake using Hawaiian Blue Airbrush Color.
Using XL Piping Tip #805, pipe a section of waves out of 4-5 stripes of white icing with three stripes just slightly longer than the Ariel figurine and the outside stripes just a little shorter.
Add more dimension to the “water” side of the cake by airbrushing the waves and the top and sides of the cake with Teal Green Airbrush Color.
Pipe a Princess Pink bead border at the base of the cake using Piping Tip #12.
Add three large multi-rosebud petal flowers on the top/top edge of the beach side of the cake. Add another flower on each side of the cake near the base where the beach and water sides meet.
Pipe Grass Green grass in 3-5 spots on the top of the cake and along the base border between the two flowers using Drop Flower Tip #221.
Using Piping Tip #3, pipe Lemon Yellow single spike flowers on the top of each grass tuft as well as in the center of each of the larger Princess Pink flowers.
Add Grass Green leaves to the flowers using Piping Tip #4.
Sprinkle White Edible Glitter on the “water” side of the cake to add extra shimmer.
Place the Ariel figurine on top of the wave. Add Scuttle to the beach side of the top of the cake.
Pipe an inscription if desired.
