Place an 8” round, double layer cake on a 10” cake board and base ice with Neon Purple icing.
Using Basket Weave Tip #895 and Neon Purple, pipe a flat ribbon border around the top edge of the side of the cake.
Add Black Fondant DecoShapes® Strips to the cake starting on one side, going up and over the top of the cake and down the other side. Do once right to left and once front to back so that the fondant strips divide the cake into four sections. It should look like a ribbon wrapped around a present.
Using Neon Purple icing and Piping Tip #10, pipe a bead border around the base of the cake. Don’t overlap the fondant.
Add white dots to the top of the Black Fondant Strips using Piping Tip #4.
Using Rose Tip #104, pipe two Neon Purple roses on two opposite sides of the top of the cake.
Switch to Princess Pink icing, and pipe three mum-style flowers using Chrysanthemum Tip #79. Pipe one flower next to each of the Neon Purple roses, and one on the back of the cake.
Using Piping Tip #4, add a white pearl necklace on the top of the cake.
Using Leaf Tip #352, add Olive Green Leaves around the Roses and Chrysanthemums.
In the one remaining quarter of the top of the cake, use Piping Tip #8, outline with white icing a gift tag shape and fill in. Smooth with a spatula or a knife.
Using Piping Tip #1, add your message with black icing on to the gift tag.
Using Piping Tip #2 and Princess Pink icing, add a string to the gift tag that lies on top of the center of the cake where the fondant strips cross.
Place the shoe in the center of the cake. Lay the Ribbon ring inside the shoe so the bow looks like it is part of the shoe.
Pipe inscription if desired.
