Perfect for a 4th of July celebration or a patriotic party, this two-tiered cake features colorful and edible SugarSoft® Patriotic Printed Hearts and Stars, white fondant rope, and a creative red, white, and blue border. The piped lines on the fondant give the cake a denim feel. Not sure how to execute the red and white striped look on the top tier? Surprise! It is a PhotoCake® Edible Cake Image Strip.
Using Blue Fondant DecoSheets®, cut out a wave pattern. Cut enough to wrap around the base of the 8" round cake.
Use white icing to adhere blue fondant wave strips to the base of the cake.
Using white icing, adhere the white fondant rope to the top of the blue fondant waves. Trim excess.
Using white icing and Piping Decorating Tip #2, add stitching below the white fondant rope.
Create small rosebuds along the base of the 6" and 8" round cakes. Alternate between red, white, and blue icing using Piping Decorating Tip #10.
Using white icing, attach SugarSoft® Patriotic Hearts and Stars on the cake where desired.
