Calling all fashionistas! Watch Barbie strut her stuff down her very own runway cake. With black fondant stars and edible glitter, this 2-tiered cake will add a glamorous touch to any party. Barbie is a true fashion icon, so let her shine!
Bake a quarter sheet cake and allow to fully cool. Cut the cake in half and stack. Base ice cake with Princess Pink icing.
Tip: If your cake halves are not perfectly even after stacking, trim with a knife.
Place the audience template on the bottom of a Black Fondant DecoSheet®. Begin to outline each audience member with small dots using a scriber tool. Using scissors, cut out on the dotted line. Create four audience member strips for each side of the cake.
Tip: Make sure to measure the sides of your cake before cutting.

Using the same black fondant sheet and the two smallest star cutters, cut out stars.
Tip: Get creative. Use any size and amount of stars you like!
Apply black fondant audience members to base of the cake. Trim as needed.
Tip: If the icing on your cake has set, use white icing to adhere fondant to the cake.
Using Sky Blue icing and Basket Weave Decorating Tip #895, pipe a border along the top outer edge of the cake.
Using Sky Blue icing and Star Decorating Tip #18, pipe 4 vertical lines on top of the black fondant audience members.
Using Sky Blue icing and Piping Decorating Tip #3, connect each vertical line with a curved line.
Tip: To create the curved rope appearance, touch your icing tip to the cake, and then hover slightly over the cake as you connect it to the next pole.
Using Black icing and Piping Decorating Tip #8, pipe a bead border along the base of the cake.
Using White icing and Piping Decorating Tip #3, pipe dots on top of Sky Blue border.
Sprinkle White Edible Glitter on the top of the cake.
Attach black fondant stars to the cake board using white icing.
Add the Barbie plaque to one end of the cake and place Barbie on the runway to strut her stuff.
