Mother's Day Celebrations

04.12.10 0
We have been celebrating the contributions that moms make in our lives since, due to the efforts of Anna Jarvis and Julia Ward Howe, President Woodrow Wilson declared the first national Mother's Day on May 8, 1941. Mother’s Day is a special time of year to celebrate and honor all the things that mom’s do for us in our lives.

Some of the most common methods of celebrating Mother’s Day are to treat moms with breakfast in bed (one of my personal favorites). Kids, and fathers, often allow moms to sleep late, while they meticulously prepare breakfast.  Many kids also make homemade cards and handmade gifts, while adults prefer to buy gifts.Mothers Day Cake | I Love My Mom Moms get the day "off" while all things from lunch to dinner are prepared in their honor.

Whether the whole family goes out to dinner, or the family makes a feast at home, one of the most popular dishes to prepare is the Mother’s Day cake. There are many different types of cakes to choose from that can express the personality of moms. From Best Mom in the World, to I Love My Mom cakes, they will be certain to leave any mom smiling.
